Greg Moore takes PRO 100 lap at Red  River

After missing the first two events of the PRO season, Greg Moore makes a triumphant return in his Ford - 150 Supertruck.

The evening began with hometown favorite and late model star Greg Deatherage setting fast time in qualifying.  Followed by Ron Poladna and current points' leader Steve Allison.  Deatherage, who was piloting a Chevrolet Supertruck owned and maintained by Gary's Speed Shop, was fast right off the trailer.  "This is my first time in a supertruck, so I wasn't sure what to expect.  Gary brought me a great handling truck so it made my job easier," stated Deatherage.

The feature saw Deatherage pace the field for the first 1/2 of the event.  At the half way break it was Deatherage Allison, Moore, Smith and Jarvis.  The second 50 laps again saw Deatherage lead the way until contact between he and Allison.  "I saw a gap between the leaders as they spun and I just slipped through" Moore said.  Deatherage had to pit for repairs while Allison had to restart from the rear of the field.  Once in the lead Moore pulled away from CJ Smith who was battling with Madore for second, as Allison was charging his way back towards the front.  On lap 80 Smith's truck burst into flames when a transmission seal blew out, causing a red flag situation.  On the restart Moore again pulled away leaving Madore , Jarvis and Allison to battle for second.  Contact between Allison and Madore brought out the caution on lap 95 and gave Allison a chance to challenge for the lead, but Moore was not to be denied.

After capturing his first win of 2000 Moore had this to say, "last year we felt we were the team to beat at Wichita Falls, but we crashed in qualifying.  This track owed us one" and "My team did a great job!  We have been working in the shop until early in the morning the last two weeks getting this new truck ready.  We were junk when we unloaded but we worked on it all day.  They got the Victory Lane Graphics/Exiss Trailers Ford really good when it counted".

Rounding out the top ten were Allison, Jarvis, Madore, Poladna, Hughes, Deatherage, Smith, Harrison and Day.
