Greg Deatherage get first win in PRO Supertruck Series

Greg Deatherage of Wichita Falls, TX started from the pole position at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, TX and went on to lead all fifty laps of the main event.

In only his second start in a PRO supertruck late model star Greg Deatherage brought home the gold for truck owner Gary Sevenans of Council Grove, KS.  This win also marks the first for Sevenans in the series.  "We were a little down on power, but Greg was just awesome, he gets 150% out of the truck" stated Sevenans.  "I've made an agreement with Greg to finish the season in our truck" Sevenans also said.

Deatherage has been impressive, so far in the series he has sat on the pole at both Red River Speedway and Thunderhill Raceway.  He also led over half of his first race and all of the second.  "So far we have been racing at tracks that I've got thousands of laps on, so it kind of gives me an advantage, but our next two races are in Missouri and that's Poladna's turf so I imagine we're going to have our hands full up there" said Deatherage.

Deatherage paced the field of the shortened main event with Poladna and Allison both making passing attempts.  The yellow was thrown on lap 25 when Wade Jarvis spun.  Madore, who had been running fifth, pitted for chassis adjustments.  The yellow came out again for adjustments.  With only seven laps remaining, Deatherage set sail and quickly pulled out to a half straight lead.  Madore charged to second and began to challenge for the lead on lap 48, but Deatherage held off the challenge winning by two truck lengths.  "We needed another restart.  This Eyecare Ford was really quick on the starts and after two stops for adjustments we had her pretty dialed in" said 1999 Champion Joe Madore, "I think that would have been the only way I could have passed Deatherage".

Final finishing positions were, Deatherage, Madore, Poladna, Allison, Jarvis, Smith, Moore.
